DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY
Shane Hawks was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon. In 1992, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Film from the University of Oregon. He worked at the local NBC-TV affiliate, directing the live evening newscasts. In his spare time he worked on his own short films, honing his writing and directing skills. In 1999, Hawks wrote and directed his first feature film, Eyes To Heaven. It was a dark and twisted tale of horror that was officially selected into several underground film festivals, including the 7th Annual New York Underground Film Festival and the 2000 Euro Underground Film Festival. Hawks left live television in 2002 and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in filmmaking. The result is Naomi, Hawks’ second feature film. |
